Learning together, building together – Successful pilot training within the Monuversity

On Friday 27/02/26, we organised an inspiring first pilot training as part of the Monuversity. With a group of around ten workers from different regions (ranging from beginners to experienced colleagues) we deliberately took the time to reflect on craftsmanship, knowledge sharing and growth.

During the training, four practical topics were covered: brick bonding patterns, measuring natural stone, installing simple bouchons, and working with lime mortars. A significant part of the session was led by our own experienced colleagues, who shared their years of expertise with the group. This created a strong interaction between theory and practice, as well as valuable discussions about on-site experiences.

In addition, three site managers were present. They provided technical support, tested the content against daily site practice, and adjusted where necessary. Their presence ensured an extra reality check and strengthened the link to practical applications. As a result, the training was not only informative, but also immediately applicable on site.

The participants were very enthusiastic. They appreciated the clear explanations, the practical exercises, and especially the opportunity to try out new techniques themselves. Even colleagues with many years of experience indicated that they had learned new things. This once again confirms that craftsmanship never stands still. In this way, we ensure that valuable expertise is not lost, but actively passed on to the next generation of skilled workers.

This pilot training highlights the importance of investing in training and knowledge sharing. Not only to develop technical skills, but also to strengthen our sense of pride and bring colleagues closer together. In doing so, we are not only building strong construction sites, but also a strong future for our team.
