Experienced Paintings Conservator-Restorer
About the job
Together with your team, you will work on the conservation and restoration of monumental paintings on canvas and panel.
You’ll contribute to our ongoing projects, such as the Sint-Gummarus Church in Lier and/or the Sint-Martinus Church in Aalst.
This work can take place at our main workshop in Leest (near Mechelen) and/or at our pop-up studio in Aalst.
You can count on the guidance of an experienced conservator-restorer within a professional environment.
Your profile
You hold a Master’s degree in Conservation-Restoration and already have some experience restoring paintings.
Thanks to your precise working method and eye for detail, you complete our projects in a focused and high-quality way.
You always think and act in a solution-oriented manner.
You speak fluent Dutch, French, or English.
You can easily travel to one of our studios (Leest or Aalst).

Restoring monuments is a profession in itself. You step into a world where past and present intersect. Understanding and empathy for the construction methods of the past coupled with a meticulous knowledge of contemporary techniques form the basis for it.
Alongside restoration work, Group Monument is also an expert in complex new construction projects, sometimes in combination with restoration.
