Technical Drafter – Carpentry
About the job
Within Monument Group’s carpentry department, we produce, craft, restore, and install exterior and interior joinery, as well as roof carpentry, all in solid wood. Our focus is on the artisanal nature of restoration carpentry, combined with a modern and innovative machine park.
As a technical drafter, you are responsible for creating detailed drawings of wooden joinery. You translate measurements into preliminary drawings in close consultation with project management.
You then convert these into execution drawings for production, relying on our extensive internal knowledge and support.
You will draft window profiles (both modern and traditional), solid doors, gates, dormers, and spires. Afterwards, you will prepare a wood list, glass list, and hardware list for production.
You work closely with project leaders and the head of the carpentry department.
You will take a leading role in further digitization and automation of processes, in close collaboration with the department head.
Since our carpentry department focuses on artisanal work, every project is a unique challenge requiring initiative and problem-solving skills.
Your profile
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in construction, (applied) architecture, or interior architecture.
Additionally, you have 5 years of experience as a drafter in wooden joinery.
You are proficient in AutoCAD 2D. Knowledge of other software (TopSolid, Kosmosoft, EasyWin, AlphaCAM, etc.) is a plus.
You are proactive and solution-oriented.
You can work independently but also effectively as part of a team.
You are fluent in Dutch. Knowledge of French is an advantage, as our carpentry department is bilingual.
You will work from Marquain, a traffic-free area in the Tournai region, about 20 minutes from Kortrijk.
